MARTIN SCOTT seriously ill

Earlier this week, former Corsham distinguished wicketkeeper/opening bat and Life Member of the Club has been admitted to hospital.
Anyone wishing to learn further details regarding his condition should call JOHN-PAUL STORY (07909 830160).

MARTIN SCOTT was an early member of the 'Boys Group' formed in the mid-1950s, and quickly established himself as a capable wicketkeeper/batter. Aged just 14 he was selected to play for Wiltshire U19s, and went on to play 60 matches for the full Wiltshire Minor Counties 1st XI between 1965 and 1972, scoring over 2000 runs, taking 67 catches and 7 stumpings. His only century for the county came against Somerset 2nds. He was awarded his County cap in 1967.

For Corsham, he was a dependable opening bat and tidy wicketkeeper.

Despite mobility issues, Martin is often seen at Station Road where he enjoys a pint.

The Club wish him well and hope for a speedy recovery.
